Song mood: Dirty Thoughts by Choe Adams. You know when there is someone you can’t stop thinking of, and then you see pictures of her in a bikini. And then realize that you will never stop thinking about her.
It’s been cold the last several days. So I haven’t been exercising. Today was nice, but I ended up doing stuff like clean my room, laundry and the dishes on my day off.
New Year’s Day, I started my six weeks without alcohol. The next time I can have a drink is on 11 February. I do this every year. I didn’t last year because I got COVID and thought that I really only drink one beer on Friday and Saturday nights, so I’m good. I think once my fast on alcohol is up, I will switch to red wine. The new box wines are supposed to last for thirty days, are much cheaper while maintaining quality and more importantly are a lot lower on sugar.
In my effort to be more creative, I will do a lot more journaling, or free writing. It may not be the same as producing words on a project, but it will spark my creativity more. Which will then produce more finished projects. I can also use brainstorming for coming up with video ideas.
Spiderman: No Way Home was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I really need to see Into the Spidy-verse, which I think the movie played off of.
I finished watching Miss Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries and started Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. I know I watched the spin-off show first before the original series. Both are set in Melbourne, Australia. The original was in the 20’s while the spin-off was in the 60’s.
On New Year’s Eve, I bought The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. It was on sale at Target. The main reason I wanted to buy this one is because I’m thinking about writing a murder mystery that is fun. And I thought this would be a fun read. Another New Year’s resolution is to read more books before buying another. I have the tendency to buy books because I think it will help with the story that I’m writing.
One of my friends who is a crime writer and I were bouncing ideas off of each other. He likes the idea of me writing something fun. He would suggest something and I would say, that’s not wholesome as heck. Then he would giggle. I’m thinking that I’m probably closer to being a cozy mystery writer.
When I’m looking for something fun to write, I’m thinking more on the lines of Murder Mystery the Netflix movie that stars Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston.
Anyway. Tonight will be a night of brainstorming. I will continue reading PD Jame’s Sleep No More. And, I will probably work on dance moves.
